A warehouse facility in Truganina contacted us after their boom gate took another hit. The boom arm was down, lying on the ground near the operator, and the mounting brackets had taken significant damage in the impact. The site needed a fast, proper fix — not a temporary patch.

Inspection & Assessment
Our technician attended site, completed check-in and a full Job Safety Analysis before touching anything. After assessing the damage it was clear the boom arm was beyond repair and the operator brackets were compromised. A quote was prepared on the spot for a full boom arm replacement and new reinforcement brackets to make sure the same failure point wouldn’t be an issue again. Parts were sourced directly from our suppliers to minimise turnaround time.

Repair & Return to Service
Our team returned to site once parts were ready. Full WHS documentation was completed, the power supply was isolated, and a safe work zone was established before work began. The damaged boom arm was disconnected and removed, and a new 6-metre boom arm was supplied and installed along with new reinforcement brackets. Once everything was fitted, we ran full operational testing, adjusted settings as required, and returned the boom gate to service, secure, compliant, and ready for high-traffic operation.

The outcome
A boom gate that was a security liability in the morning was fully operational by end of day. New reinforcement brackets mean the system is now better protected against future impact, a common issue in busy logistics and warehouse environments where vehicle movement is constant.
If your boom gate has taken a hit, or if you’re seeing signs of wear on the arm, brackets, or operator, don’t wait for it to fail completely. We respond fast, source parts quickly, and get your access control back to full operation with minimal downtime.
